Opinel is a company that have manufactured high quality wooden handled knives since 1890 in France. They still make some of the best quality wooden handled knives today. 

This is a beautifully made knife for a child that is ready for wood whittling and wood working projects as well as a multipurpose knife for exploring nature, building projects and camping. It is a real tool made for children with high quality stainless steel that is anti-corrosive and requires no special maintenance. Although it has a sharp blade, the tip is rounded and the blade is shorter so that it fits comfortably in the child's hand. It is actually important for the blade to be sharp to work well and used safely. Nothing is more dangerous than a blunt knife.

The knives also come with the Virobloc safety system on the collar which locks the blade into position – open or shut. The handle is made with beech wood.
